Society tells you that you should be loving every minute of life with your new baby and you feel awful that you’re not.
Are you longing to get a routine in place?
Are you trying to figure out how you can possibly get more than an hour of uninterrupted sleep?
Are you breastfeeding and struggling to understand when your baby is still hungry and when he’s just using you as a pacifier?
Is life with a newborn harder than you ever imagined and you can’t figure out why none of your girlfriends prepared you for this?
You weren't born instinctively knowing how to care for a baby. These are things that for hundreds of years were passed down from generation to generation.
Well meaning friends and family members often share advice that is outdated and can put baby's safety at risk.
If you want current information in line with the American Academy of Pediatrics, you're in the right place.
Hi, I’m Valerie!
I'm a Certified Postpartum Doula (PCD), Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) and mom of 3 (including identical twins). . .
Over the past 8 years I’ve had the amazing privilege of helping hundreds of parents prepare so that they know what the heck to do with their squirmy little newborns!
I understand the road to becoming a parent, and those first few months, are the craziest mix of excitement and overwhelm and that having support during that time makes all the difference!
My years of experience means that you can stop googling (please, please stop googling) because you now have a trusted source to answer all your questions!
What if everytime you had a question you had an experienced professional you could ask?
Whether you’re breastfeeding, pumping or formula feeding I can help you get good systems in place and feel confident your baby is getting the nutrients he needs to thrive!
As a Postpartum Doula I begin working in the homes of new families… often the first or second night after they bring their baby home.
During my time with a family I am their go-to!
I answer all their new baby questions, give product recommendations, help them get feeding and sleep off to a good start and help them to get good systems in place.
This means that you have more time to enjoy life with your new baby because you’re not frantically searching online.
When you seek the help of experts you save time, are more efficient and things go more smoothly because you have guidance and can skip over the learning curve.
It only makes sense that as you embark on the most important role of your life that you would have the guidance of an expert to help the transition go as smoothly as possible.
It really does take a village!
And when you don’t have that village you are left struggling, often feeling guilty for not loving every moment of life with your new baby.
It doesn’t have to be that way!
Valerie has been a godsend in our newborn and my postpartum journey.
While my husband and I took several courses, read multiple books and did everything we could to prepare for our first child, we still had so many questions once he arrived. Having Valerie’s support and guidance gave us comfort that we were doing things correctly and helped us work through the newborn “learning curve” much quicker. Amongst many other things, this meant more sleep for us and less crying from baby, and gave us peace of mind. In addition, Valerie’s expertise around breastfeeding was invaluable and allowed me to successfully start breastfeeding and efficiently work through several challenges.

Valerie is completely non-judgmental and a safe zone. You can ask her anything.
Valerie is a quintessential doula. You can ask her anything, at any time, and she is quick to get back to you with an answer or practical suggestion, and resources to support it. She is completely non-judgmental and a safe zone. Valerie has also been there for me when I needed to vent about a rough night. She has helped me be the best mom I can be for my two boys!
One week of in-person support for my doula clients costs $2,000 but we can text, all week long for only $197. You can ask questions, every day if you'd like! It really does take a village and having support as you adjust to life with your new baby can make all the difference!
